I'm 17 and I feel as if something is missing from my life. Its not that I have no hobbies or I'm unpopular. Its just that as soon as I'm on my own I get this feeling that something is missing, so I did some research and found Christianity, I read that God can find you, has he found me? This is a totally new thing because it only started about 6 months back and so far in my life I have been brought up to be an atheist.
I really need some advice because I'm pretty confused!

Yes, God has found you. But...he's been there the whole time. "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5. He was the one that created you, so of course he had you.
It has just come to a point where YOU found HIM and finally acknowledged him. But God has always been there for ya. Always. He's been with you ever since you were born.
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." Revelation 3:20. The door he's knocking is on your heart (Okay, there's not a LITERAL door in your heart....but yeah). So anyways, He's been trying to get into your heart for the past 17 years :]
All you need to do is to acknowledge him. Acknowledge that He died for you, that God IS real, and acknowledge that you are a sinner. We have ALL broken the 10 commandments.
Ten Commandments
1) You must not have any other god but me.
2) You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.
(You can't have any other gods before God. This can range from TV, music, porn, etc. Anything you put before God, you are breaking a commandment)
3) You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name. (
Example: Oh my G*d!)
4) Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
5) Honor your father and mother.
6) You must not murder.
7) You must not commit adultery.
(Even lusting after someone is considered adultery. So when you LUST, you are also breaking a commandment)
8) You must not steal.
9) You must not testify falsely against your neighbor.
(Example: Lying is a ten commandment. If you lie, you are breaking a commandment)
10) You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.”
Exodus 20:2-17
We are all sinners. Even Christians. But Jesus died for us...so we aren't dead to sin any longer (meaning, we don't have a desire to sin!) And God offers down his forgiveness over and over and over for us. We don't deserve it, because we still fall down and sin, but it's because GOd loves you SO much that he offers you down HIS forgiveness because He wants to!
