My avatar and username has been around since 2004 before Christian Forum Site. 😎 b

The smiley with the sunglasses have long been my happy face and the b is for thumbs up. lol!

Bob is my name and in faith is who I am in Christ. But through the years some have mistaken me for Bobin.

Oh, then you must remember me at some point. I think I came on 2009 or 2010. I believe my username was originally xspinningisfun haha.

Greetings. My mother was from the island of Crete in Greece, and my sister lives in Thessaloniki. My daughters and I have matching tattoos on our feet in the Greek words for strength and hope. Thenami in modern Greek means strength, and elpida means hope. It is a reminder we have the strength of the holy spirit, and the hope of salvation.

When I first joined this forum, I had a few problems getting started. The upshot was that my user name became started as the username I had chosen for one site (Target_Hunter) for a gun owners site because I do not hunt and I really did not purchase my weapons as weapons, only as a tool for outdoor activities as I was recovering from surgery. I did not want anyone to think I was looking for an argument (I am not), so I had the administrators change my name to Siloam, referring to the pool in John 9:7 where the blind man washed his eyes in obedience to Jesus and received his sight.

My Avatar is the Cross of Christ above the Bible, Prayer, a symbol for the Atom, A detail from James Tissots painting of the blind man washing at the pool, and an hourglass with a sparkle, representing creation.

The placement of these images is not random. The Cross of Christ is centered and directly bounded by symbols for the Bible, and Prayer.

The Sciences played a strong part in leading me to Christ.

The atom, which is a Bohr diagram of lithium, which is/was used in telescopic mirrors because if is both light and shinny.

The Hourglass/creation image refers to an early realization of mine that tie was created when the Universe created, and thus God stands outside of time, experienceing it all as a whole, while we experience it moment by moment.

Lanolin means 'anointed sheep' or 'sheep grease' ...you can use it as a moisturiser too.

My avatar is me behind a mac computer..I used to do online chats (any questions) for the library and we all had to have avatars of ourselves so I made this one. Though my hair is much shorter now as it's got a summer cut. The avatar is me in my winter cut and scarf.
 
Also related to avatars and user names is the signature that you may set.

I have had the same one for a while and sometimes think about changing, just for variety.

But every time I do I cannot being myself to make the change.
 
The pebble, was an idea that I copied. I found one that said 'believe' and thought 'oooh that's a good idea, i should do that, I'll write Jesus on it, and John 14:6 on the other side'.

'Choose life' is from The Old Testament, which I believe is still relevant.
and as Jesus is The way, The truth and The life, Christians are to choose Him. :)
 
"Romans 8" because it is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. My avatar contains words from Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose..."

I joined here almost five years ago but didn't stay for long. Just came back for a visit. :cool:

As I remember, the _point_ of the movie is that everyone (and every thing) has a _point_, even if it is not clearly seen.

I never saw the animated movie, yet. But I do have a comment. If Oblio had a round head co-existing with bunch of pointy-headed people, would the same be for his dog "Arrow," who may have had a pointed head after his name? L😎L!
