There is nothing Christian about how this man behaved and INSISTED on constant donations of money to be sent.

Perhaps we should in general discuss “evangelists” and some of their deep failings such as their propensity of collecting mammon?

Not particularly naming names but throughout unfortunately history starting indeed documenting from the Book of Acts those who sought to defraud the vulnerable.

I understand your role and admire your posts!

We seem to have an agitator amongst us drifting a bit far with itching powder rather than honey at times.

One can easily forget we are held responsible for every word uttered with our mouths and fingertips.

I raise my hand 🖐️ in guilt in this regard.

When I stand before I AM the re-run will certainly be an embarrassment for my mis-steps of lips and fingers to be sure.

I try to be a blessing indeed.
I do fall far short of the glory.

I do hope the last chapters written of my life show improvement and sweeter fruit as I walk out my last steps with fear and trembling my salvation so undeserved.

You shouldn't make those kinds of assumptions unless you know why he did the things you don't agree with. To know the why of how he did things would take years of listening to him teach. I can show you 100 negative articles hat people wrote about him. I see that as being over the target.

Most would never give him that chance, and I'm more than used to that.

Is their anything I'm sharing here you don't agree with?

Dr. Scott did a great service opening the Gospel up to many who otherwise might not have paid it any attention. I count myself in that group.

That's what I learned from the very start, that the salvation journey has be anchored in the "personal " relationship with Christ. Pisteuo is what does that, because of the work of Christ.

When that is established, you can listen to any teacher, see the right and the wrongs being taught. Gene Scott was a Brillant teacher, not in your normal preacher mode, kind of like a professor you'd have at a college, it didn't take a genius to see he had faults, he just never hid them like most teachers do. He used them to be seen on the same level with others. You know how most preachers have an ora to be like them, he never did that, and made sure he was never looked at like that.

For me, if there was a better teacher out there, I would have found them a long time ago.

Ya, no doubt a lot of people back then remember him that way. He taught almost every night for a long time.

I was able to purchase around 100 CD's of his teaching in 08, at the Cathedral. another old member of his teaching sent me another 1000 hrs of his teaching in 2013., free of coarse.

But, that caused a big mess with melissa.

In the 1990s, my brother had him on the television and he said something that my brother knew absolutely contradicted what is written in the Bible. So, he picked up his phone and called he number on the screen. Eventually, someone answered and my brother began discussing the issue. The man on the other end interrupted my brother and asked, "Look - are you calling to make a donation or what?" My brother answered, "Well, maybe, but I want to resolve this theological matter first." To that, the man on the other end growled, "F*** you." and hung up.

I have one I would love to lambast frankly quite famous for his stance that Jesus wants us to all roll up our sleeves for COVID bioweapon jabs but I won't sigh.
