Journal The Cabin

Hello everyone;

While away my ears were itching until I came across this poem about some guy named Bob and a missing chair.

While away the chair wasn't hair (here) (but used hair to rhyme) but something in the air led me to care about bringing back the chair so others can share and not compare from one Bob to the other.

Everyone in Macedonia and Greece asked where I got the chair, and I responded, from inside a Cabin!

If this doesn't make sense is because I didn't know it but I'm not a poet.

🤜 😎 lol!!!
Welcome back Bob! We'll have to weigh the PROSE and cons of your poem. I would discuss the meter, but I'm American and we use yards. Speaking of yards, time to mow.:D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... I just love the fact that I have NO clue how these things come to be... they stay magical that way. THIS is going behind my chair. THE BEST EVER.
Lookie at BOB... Jesus has his hands on him... ready to BLESS HIM.... Makes my heart smile. THANK you for this LearningToLetGo

Bob is back..... I repeat.... BOB is back... *** looking around for GREEK food... Me thinks that Mr. Moose pulled a sneaky and stopped Bob outside the shed before he had a chance to enter the Cabin.
Welcome home Bob... you were missed.

Well... I announced that yesterday was a "digging in the dirt" day... but I got side-tracked by company as my niece came to collect me for coffee.... and I got to trade in my change for paper bills... 140.00 worth.... ( My garden fund ).
Does anyone else like saving their change in a jar??? I love doing this.

Margaret is taking me to the Nursery tomorrow after our regular shopping trip... so I am just heading out to the garden and will prepare the land for direct planting. Lots of "fluffing up" the soil. :D

Anyways.... I hope everyone has a BEAUTIFUL day.

Breaking News....

My landlords' brother-in-law is coming to collect me to take me to the nursery this morning. He will be here in 45 minutes.... and so.... today I can get the BULK of my shopping done at leisure... and when Margaret comes to collect me tomorrow for groceries... I can act all EXCITED again... HAHAHA.

It pays to have a few shovels in the sand pile. :D ( and... It has surely been several months since I commented on the fact that after a year and a half... this guy STILL needs medical assistance ).

May 15th, 2025.... Planting DAY...

Well... today is grocery day... Margaret Day... visit the nursery day..... and PLANTING DAY.
I spent 90.00 between two nurseries yesterday and sadly.... that does NOT buy a lot of plants.
I will be visiting our THIRD nursery this morning to get the remainder of plants I need for my flower pots.
I am most thankful that I have a few back up flowers to fill in the gaps.

In the last few days... I have cultivated the ground... pulled out weeds... evened out the soil... and fluffed things up. HA
I still have NO idea what I am going to put in the garden spot... and so... today .... Me and JESUS are going to CREATE.
I love bringing Jesus with me on ADVENTURES and SPECIAL projects... because I then feel ASSURED that things will play out successfully. :D

According to the weather.... It's going to be overcast for most of the day and apparently... it's going to rain from 12 noon to 1 pm. HAHA... That cracks me up... HOW on earth can someone forecast the weather on an hour to hour basis??
I will have to take special note as to whether or not this was accurate. STAY TUNED for REPORT.

Temperature of the Lake is currently 10.3 C = 50.54 F ... I am waiting for 12C = 53F . Here is a chart that I am going by.
If I'm not mistaken... Last year I went in on May 22nd... but have no idea what the temps were. I think I will be able to manage a bit earlier than that... as I am anticipating by the week-end.

0-6 DEGREES: Baltic. ...
6-11 DEGREES: Freezing. ...
12-16 DEGREES: Fresh. ...
17-20 DEGREES: Summer swimming. ...
21 DEGREES PLUS: Warm. ...
30 DEGREES: Pool temperature.

So.... a busy... outdoor day for me today.

Happy THURSDAY to everyone. I love you all.

❤️ Da SHEEP

HAHAHAHAHAHA.... Ironically... I discovered that I had a bit of a green thumb last year... This is the second year that I have started some plants from seed. It really is a learn as you go type of hobby.
Now houseplants.... that is a totally DIFFERENT story.... I think it might be the commitment of trying to keep something alive ALL year... rather than a few months. HA.

I went all out this year.... as in 300.00 all out... YIKES!!!! I splurged and between three different nurseries... including EVERYTHING garden... ( soil... peat moss etc )... that was the outcome. Half of that was saved up change that I rolled and brought to the bank.... but still.... it's a lot to spend on something that will eventually die. HA.

I do predict that this will be my last year here before I get accepted for my "forever home" ( HAHA... that is what they call it when a pet gets ADOPTED ). I was told there was approximately a two year wait list.

I will have my OWN balcony at the new place... and that will be EXCITING but more challenging as far as gardening.

Anyways... back to the HERE and NOW... I still have a lot of work to do. On Thursday.... I spent 3 hours transplanting flowers from the nursery to their summer pots.... and I am still NOT finished. I have a huge container that my landlords just gave me.... and that will be the "piece de resistance" at the entrance of my lane-way.

I will have to figure out how to use my SD card converter so that I can share pictures. These next few weeks is what I call the BIG TRANSITION. The flowers have to take root and strengthen before they begin to grow and fill in the pots. I have learned to get pretty good at spacing the plants out.

I also have the garden to contend with... and this year... I want to plant a full vegetable garden. I hope to have all that done by next week... and then... I can sit back and ENJOY.

So... that is my garden up date. :D

I could edit my above post... but heck.... I am in a wasting paper "mood". HA

I realize I did not really explain.... It was NOT fun = It was COLD. HAHAHAHA.

I have however discovered a secret.... It is much easier to do that final DIP under the water IF... I go in three times.
So... I start with stepping in the water to cover my feet up to just under the knees.... then I come out and walk...
Go back in... and go up to my waist.... and then come out... walk around... and then THIRD time... I am able to simply
walk right in and then take that plunge.

So... that is that. Have no idea why I feel the need to challenge myself like this... but ... hey... it's going on the third year.

Mr. Moose... I signed you up for language arts.... Here is your first lesson. You're welcome.
