ANGELS STUDY----THE CLASSES OF ANGELS
Now according to the Bible, not me but the Bible, there are THREE (3) classes of Angels.
1. Archangels.
The ONLY angel in the Scriptures that is designated as an "Arch Angel" is Michael in Jude 9.
"But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”
Now we all have heard it sad and been told that Gaberial is also an archangel. Where do heresies like that come from. Well, in this instance, it comes from The book of Enoch/ Enoch was a work written between the Old and New Testament, references Gabriel as an archangel. Because of this, most believe that Gabriel is an archangel from this text. However, the Book of Enoch is OCCULTIC and has many references of Witchcraft in it. It is to be rejected by the Christian at all costs.
In Daniel 12:1 he is seen standing up for the nation of Israel during the Tribulation Period.
In Daniel 10:13 & 21 he is seen coming to help another angel.
In Revelation 12:7-8 he is seen fighting Satan. We can by those Scriptures understand that Michael is an angel of considerable power.
The other angel who is referred to many times in Scripture is Gaberial.Many people, because of the number of times he is seen is thought to be an arch angel, however he is never called one in Scripture.

Does that sound familiar? It should........Revelation 4:6-8 says....

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: 7 the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. 8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
But there is more to this than just that.
In all Four gospels Jeus is portrayed by a LION, an OX, a MAN and an EAGLE.

Biblically speaking, there are TWO Catagories of angels.

Like angels, they are created spirit-beings and are powerful. Demons are “angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place” (Jude 1:6).
Demons follow Satan (the devil, Lucifer) – chief of the fallen angels. Satan is in no way equal to God – he is created, with limited power and under God’s authority.
(1 Chronicles 21:1, Acts 5:3, 1Thessalonians 3:5, Matthew 4:1-11, 2 Corinthians 11:3). Satan lured Adam and Eve into sin by questioning the goodness of God and the consequences of disobeying Him (Genesis 3:1-5). Satan entered into Judas before he betrayed Jesus (John 13:27). Satan is the crafty, cunning, great deceiver.
Satan and his demons can perform false signs and wonders
(2 Thess. 2:9, Deuteronomy 13:1-2, Matthew 24:24). This is why the Bible tells us to “test the spirits to see whether they are from God” (1 John 4:1).

What gets weird on this is that some even call Jesus the Archangel Michael of OT, as the supreme capt of the heavenly host, but that would deny His deity

They will of course quote Hebrews 1:14 to prove their thinking which says.........
"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”
Then Psalms 91:11 ..........
"For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
Now before anyone gets excited and starts yelling, allow me to say that Christians tend to WANT to believe that they have a guardian angel sitting on their sholder. Then a LOT of us have been taught that all of our childhood and what goes in usually stays in so then when we here something different, we are PREDISPOSED to reject it out of hand.
So with that being said lets do some "deep thinking Bible study".
Now when we consider Psalms 91:11 we should have a RED light go off. Not sometimes but all of the time, ALWYAS read the entire passage when doing a Bible study to get the correct and proper context. Never, ever stay with something you want to hear and base a doctrine or belief on it without the entire focus of the passage being considered.
That being said, lets read Psalms 91:12...the next verse ........
"They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."
Sound familiar??? It should!!!! Matthew 4:6.......
"And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone."
Satan's first try to temp Jesus was to focus on the ROLE OF A GUARDIAN ANGEL! Did you see what God just said????
Angels are real and we know that from the Word of God. Satan believed that Jesus would take THEM OUT OF CONTEXT ABOUT WHAT THEY DO, not whether or not they exist or not. Existence is not the question.
Now think for a minute about Hebrews 1:14. Again, when YOU read the entire section YOU see that those Scriptures are "looking forward". ******IMPORTANT******Hebrews is written by a Hebrew to the Hebrews!!!!

Hebrews Chapters 1 and 2 are a collection of Old Testament Scriptures, meant to prove that Jesus is a higher authority than any angel.
That was done to correct the Jews placing more respect and honor toward angels that to the Lord Jesus Christ as God who created them!!
"Heirs of salvation" in verse # 14 does not apply to you and all other Christians. YOU, we....those who have accepted Christ have realized the truth that the Jews have not. Isreal/Jews are the "Heirs" of salvation because they have NOT COME TO CHRIST so this Scripture is looking forward to the time when the nation of Israel will once again turn to God AFTER THE RAPTURE!
Hebrews 1:14 say nothing at all about angels ministrering to those who have accepted the salvation of God in Christ for salvation. The Church is NOT THE HEIR of Salvation as we have already obtained salvation through Christ.
Now, to those who reject this, may I ask you....do you think that YOU need a guardian angel to give you help and instruction?

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 16:7-8 & 13..........
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment...........
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."
Now I know hat there will be those who will argue and reject this and that is perfectly OK with me. It is not my job to change any ones thinking. My calling these days is to simply get out the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to it.
Now it seems to me from what I read and understand from the Bible, we have a choice.
1. We have an angel that protects us and guides us and informs us.
2. We have GOOD in the person of the Holy Spirit who does exactly those same things.
Whom have YOU chosen this day????
Consider some facts on this topic. There are several cults and false religions that have based their existence on what an angel has said to them.
1. Mormons are not Christians. Joseph Smith says that he got those Golden Plates from the ANGEL Gaberial. They reject Jesus as the Son.
2. 7th Day Adventists. Their denomination is based on a vision she got from an ANGEL! They Reject Jesus as the Son of God.
3. Jehovah Witnesses. They teach that Jesus is the ANGEL Gaberial. They reject Jesus as the Son of God.
4. Muslims. Mohammed also claims to have gotten the Koran from the ANGEL Gaberial. They reject Jesus as the Son of God.
Now there are many more but these are the most well known and they all have ONE thing in common. They got a message from an angel named Gaberial and they all reject Jesus as the Son of God.
There is NO doubt that they all got a message from an angel BUT not a righteous, faithful angel of God.

One small critique... It was the angel Moroni that talked with Joseph Smith. Many of their temples have a golden statue of Moroni on top facing east, they believe that these will come to life and sound their trumpets when Christ returns.
Thank you for the correction. You are correct. There is actually NO Bible record of anything named Moroni and it is totally a fictional character made up by Mr. Smith.
The question remains as to whether or not an angel actually did appear to Joseph Smith or if he simply invented the stories or was it a demon?
Paul explains what the response should be when an angel approaches anyone with a gospel message that differs from what is revealed in the New Testament in Galatians 1:8.......
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!”.
The “gospel” of Mormonism is “a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people . . . are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ” as Paul said in Galatians 1:6–7.
Paul teaches us that Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light i 2 Corinthians 11:14, and it is entirely possible that other evil spirits could do the same. If a being calling itself “Moroni” exists, it is not a heavenly angel.
No doubt though the "angel" who spoke to Smith was same who spoke to Muhammed and to Ellen White, the One who had originally spoken to Adam and Eve in the garden
Or was just Satan under a different name, as he was called Gabril when he spoke to Muhammed, Morani to Smith, and Ellen White 'angel" who gave her so called testimonies
