That’s another one ticked off

Just checking in
The prayer list you gave me,

They came back,
It not how far they strayed
It’s about how high Jesus lifted them up!
Their seats are filled again
Draw them back close to you,

Amen

Then there’s the seat two rows back,
Gave his life to God last week,
Tick, that seat’s filled
Thank you God

Amen

But, that family who sits on the back row
Their seats been empty for a week or two
Thought I’d given a tick for a job well done,
but their absence
Makes my soul ache!
They’ve gone to the top of the list
Be with them wherever they’re at

Amen…

Didn’t think this praying for empty seats
Was going to be this hard !
Ticked when souls filled them,
Praying for the empty seats
When they don’t turn up…

Redoubled my efforts
Praying for the souls
That You have allocated,
For those empty seats,
For those the souls…

More ticks than empty seat,
but,
For each empty seat,
You know where they are…
And where they should be
