1 John 3:2

Beloved now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is...
Scripture says that he can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities,, so that is the way it is. Yet when we pray for this or that things don't always manifest themselves according to our thinking. We must understand that we have perverted thinking. Our thinking is governed by our circumstances. Sometimes we are happy sometimes we are sad sometimes we suffer depression sometimes we feel elated, and we ask accordingly.
God can be touched by our infirmities, but he is not governed by our feelings, which are generated by our current circumstances. When it says in 1 John 'we shall be like him' it is understood that we too shall rise above our circumstances and the Word shall prevail in us. We will not ask amiss but desire and ask according to the Word. Therefore, the Word having preeminence in us, we shall be like and only then can we catch a glimpse of seeing him as he is.
Then we shall be ready to meet him in the air.

Hello 2404;

In 1 John 3:2, 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. - NIV

Christian believers have an inner assurance that we are children of God. We don't know the details of what's to come when Christ appears as well as the glory that He will reveal. This is what makes it exciting, not dreadful or scary.

In the meantime, let's strive in our continued walk in Christ, growing in obedience, repentance and open to our Father's purpose for each of us.

God bless
you, 2404, and thank you for sharing 1 John 3:2.
