43 And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.
44 And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule:

43 And JoNathan replied: 'It's true! For our lord King David has made Solomon the king! 44 He sent SaDoc the Priest, Nathan the Prophet, BenaiJah (the son of JehoiAda), and the Cherethites and Phelethites, and they mounted him on the king's mule;

43 This was God’s plan but if Adonijiah wanted to be king he would now have to go to war because of this happening.
44 The true followers of God will accept His will even if it is not what they want themselves. They put what God wants before what they want by doing this things often times work out better for us than they would if we did things our way. God’s way lead more times to happiness and our way often times leads to a happiness that fades quick.
