If we love one another we will show the love of God and Jesus Christ. Just believing the Gospel as truth alone does not convince sinners. We are to be known for our love as disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus said we should show the love of God to the world. We are to be a peculiar people that believe/expect Jesus to return. We are to love one another while we are waiting.
James 2:8. The royal law is love your neighbor as yourself. With the fruits of the spirit, the first fruit is love. Love is what Christians are to be known for. We are to greet one another and bear one another’s burdens. Praying for one another when it is needed. Meeting a financial need to help someone. Making food for someone when they are sick and shut in.
We should also encourage one another. Tell them how they are helping you and how much they mean to you. This is love in action. Christian love covers all wrongs. We can minister to one another. Whoever does much, loves much.
In our scriptures, Jesus said love one another as He loves us. Love is action. By loving other people, people will know that we are Jesus’ disciples. Love gives and doesn’t grab. Love is patient and kind. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the Truth. Love never fails.
