My wife often says how ugly it is to look out our windows, which got me thinking, 'Is there any place in Scripture that a 'beautiful view' of this world is mentioned, except Eden and with Abraham and Lot's confrontation?

Genesis 13:10 KJV
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

Hello crossnote;

There are many amazing views in Scripture. I'll share one;

In Revelation 4:1-8 is a vivid description of the door of Heaven opened. John gets a glimpse of the precious stones. Included is the thunder, lightening, torches of fire, an appearance of the sea of glass, the living creatures and elders singing, all within the mix of coming together as a beautiful place of worshiping and praising God.

My wife and I strive to keep the foundation of our home a holy place. I would stand in front of our house and behind it are tall trees and green grass on the other side of our backyard fence. Many times I would see a beautiful dwelling place given by God.

Revelation 4:1-8 and looking at the front of our home are beautiful views.

God bless you, crossnote, and thank you for sharing.

Bob

Thanks Bob, but I had mentioned, "'Is there any place in Scripture that a 'beautiful view' of this world...

1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV
But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"-

But i was asking about 'this world', not heaven.

Gen.1:31........
"And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day."

Psalms 23:2-3.......
"He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

Genesis 9:13 ......
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”

Job 37:14-16 .....
“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash?”

I realize that the specific word "beautiful" is not seen, however it is expressly implied.

Then there is Song of Solomon 4:7:
"Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion in the far north, The city of the great King."

Eccl. 3:11..........
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

Numbers 13:27
27 They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.
The report of the spies about the land of Canaan was one of beauty and plenty of the land, and then fear of the people.

except Eden (see OP)

Metaphors don't count, just this fallen wasteland.

A skylight in our roof might help...

..or a ticket to Jerusalem? But wait, there's Hamas and the PLO.

That may help, I guess maybe this sort of thing is what is being referred to in your verse?...

Hebrews 11:16 (KJV) But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
