We are born into a yin yang existence. Based on perceived facts we understand who and what we are and we move forward on those premises.

1. He was hungry it was only reasonable to save himself, do that which was in his power and eat. He turned it down.
2. He knew his position and what it entailed. It was offered to him to exercise it. He turned it down.
3. He was destined to be Lord over all and he could take it himself. He turned it down.

The Christian reality are not of this world.
