The Lord Jesus had just spoken to my heart this morning concerning how his divine discipline via trials, tribulations, troubles and hardships is a gift of his grace to his church. I was reading in Isaiah 29. What the Lord taught me was that God brings into our lives, or else he permits in our lives times of trouble and difficulty in order to draw us back to him or closer to him, as his process of making us holy, and/or of conforming us into the image of Christ. Then, my husband and I were on our way to lunch. I wanted to listen to Christian radio. We heard a song called "Blessings" by Laura Story. The song fit with this message "A Gift" to a T.
