Prayer Request Aircraft Crash - Washington, DC, January 29-30, 2024

An American Airlines commuter airliner collided with a US Army Blackhawk helicopter over the Potomac River near Washington, DC. late Wednesday evening.

Please keep the 67 victims and their families in prayer at this time of sadness and loss.

I have been praying all morning... I was made aware of this at about 3 am and it is truly a horrific tragedy.

My oldest daughter texted me this morning too. She lives in the area. We all used to live at Fort Belvoir, VA where the helicopter came from. Tragic event. That area has a great deal of air traffic since there is a military airfield, the airport is in the middle of the city, and so many high-level government types fly in and out.

Yes, prayers are needed. This is my area and many in my community lost mentors and friends in the accident. One of my American Heritage leaders lost a neighbor and left behind an 11yr son.
