One hears it so often, this is the antichrist or there is the antichrist. We know the antichrist is a spirit just like being a Christian is of the Holy Spirit. Now the antichrist spirit may manifest itself in different way. I would like to point to ONE avenue that we are regularly bombarded with and that is tradition. If we go to church just because it is Sunday then we are not going for the right reason. If we pay our tithes or do anything because we should then our motive is wrong. I'm not saying we shouldn't do what we know is right for that is only good sense but if we are resting on our doing then of course it doesn't amount to anything except our being deceived - antichrist. As said, the antichrist spirit will manifest itself on many ways and we see it in scripture where many will come to Christ and say 'didn't we do such and such in your name' and He will say 'I never knew you'. So indeed the greatest thing we can pray for is revelation so we will do everything in His name.

Thank you for sharing Antichrist. I have tried to keep up with your string of threads lately and was able to make time to post to this topic.
Even the antichrist can get a foothold in the church we worship. Many Christians feel they are in true worship when they don't realize they're not really into the heart of worship, but just going through the motions. From the pulpit I have witnessed many spirit filled worship services, but many times I had to be careful not to judge those who seem distant or nodding out, instead ask the Holy Spirit to sustain them during our worship through His presence.
In my heart the antichrist is very cunning and will infiltrate good causes such as worship of God to fulfill ulterior motives. The antichrist opposes Christ and will proclaim he is the Christ, or use a human position to sway people away from the things that God opposes.
We have a state leader who advocates a heinous sin and is using Scripture to justify this act, even if it's a tiny, tiny act. Many people who live in our state will be blinded by his false teaching and be swayed when it's time to vote. Could this be representative of the antichrist? I believe so. The antichrist has his legion of little demons who carry out false acts, thus spiritual warfare.
