Any Here Dealt with Church Bible Publishers?

As while they only do the Kjv, they seem to have really high quality biblers at reasonable prices, almost like Allen lite!

Hello YeshuaFan;

You ask a great question. I stopped to think how Bibles that I purchased have become more expensive, especially the large print.

Christianbooks.com and Amazon have good prices because they sell volume. When we ordered pew Bibles by quantity from Lifeway Christian Resources, the publisher gave us a price of $11.00 each for the ESV.

I noticed that smaller font Bibles cost less. The larger print which I require for my own reading will cost more and that's where I have to do my shopping.

Are you in the market for a new translation?

For a really high quality one, but Allen and Schuyler out of my price range!

Are you talking about a certain publisher or just Bible publishers in general?

I'm in NZ and our bookshop (the one I work in) orders through Manna. Sometimes we can get Bibles through HarperCollins as they do a lot of Bibles and Christian literature although it's a bit hit and miss sometimes.
Hodder also publish Bibles - their distributor is Hachette.

The NZ Bible Society do good Bibles but they all go through Manna now.

What I look for in Bibles is a good clear font, paper quality, binding and size. The cheap pulpy ones don't last long.

Thomas Nelson is quite good.

Yes, we have a few iif their bibles.. they are really good quality, their premiums are bound by AA Leather.. plus they have a "mission".. they use the "cambridge" font, (but it doesn't state this inside the bible).

If you'd like some photos, or specific details let me know.
