Are you ready?

Are you ready?

If God called you home
right now,
Are you ready?
Have you unfinished business?
Things you should have done?
If He taps you on the shoulder Would you turn and say?
Just give me another five minuets,
I haven’t finished yet
Are you ready?
Just asking?
Where you’re at?

If Jesus came round and knocked on your front door
Would you invite Him in?
Or make Him wait on the doorstep,
Go in do a good spring clean
Clear all the cobwebs out,
change the T.V. channel
Hide those magazines under the cushions
Put the bottles back in the cupboard,
Say sorry to your family,
Before you let Him in?
Just asking?
Because

If you hear the trumpet calling
Are there things that you don’t want friends to know?
Are there skeletons in your life?
Things that you’d not want to go public?
Would you leave loose ends?
Hidden in the shadows
Are there things that needs sorting
Just asking?
has time fled?

If the Lord came for His bride today
Are you ready?
Are your lamps
Filled with oil
Wicks trimmed?
Or are you gambling there will be a tomorrow
Just asking,
Before it’s too late?

If Jesus came a calling
Would you welcome Him
with open arms?
With a tear stained face of excitement
Hear Him say “well Done”…
“Good and faithful servant,
Come dine with Me”
Just asking?
What would you do
if it was today
God called
Are you ready?
If so,
Tick the box marked ready
And fill in the comments box

I don't see a 'ready' box, so I'll snag anothers...

[X] READY [] NOT READY (thanks Bob, lol)

I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Isaiah 61:10 (NASB)
