BALANCE

I have a really good link on this I will link up. It is important to be prepared.
We Are Getting Closer to a Digital Currency [Prophecy Update]

I think that we need to have our eyes wide open. Not stick our head in the head. We need
to be responsible that is all part of having prophecy in the Bible. Not to scare us but to prepare us.
Jesus already told us ahead of times that we were going to have trials and tribulations. I just went through
this with someone else - Oh we won't be here. Well, regardless we need to be prepare and not be ignorant.
Pastor Brandon has a degree in political science and he is extremely solid biblically.

I apologize ahead of time if anyone doesn't agree etc. I know not every Pastor is someone's cup of tea. I truly appreciate him and my Pastor's stand on the subjects that are at hand.

Again if you don't feel like he says anything of value, just discard it.

What is the difference between...
Prepping and Trusting,
Hoarding and Setting aside,
Worrying and Being responsible, etc?
I'm asking because my wife is becoming very concerned due to the banking situation, while I take more of a 'just trust God' kind of attitude
Is there a reasonable middle ground of sorts?

Hello crossnote;

This is an interesting thread, BALANCE

It reminds me of the Contrast Proverbs in Chapter 10, however I could be incorrect but it reminded me.

I have confronted the differences and what speaks to my heart is this;

Prepping is preparing for God's answer to prayer, the directions He takes us and what to say and do in all circumstance. Trusting God follows prepping of His outcome.

Hoarding is not healthy. God provides, but in time those things turn into dust and moths. Keeping them in case we need them again for all kinds of reasons and not to part with things is not good. Setting aside takes discernment, rationing or scheduling, etc...of making the most and best time when to use is an additional bonus - wisdom from God when He provides.

Worrying is when we control the outcome when we don't know the outcome. Being responsible is when our faith and hope of the outcome is in God's hands. But He holds us accountable for our part as He goes ahead of us in all things.

When all this is directed at our
finances, it was God who entrusted us with His provision, His banks, and financial institutions, to care for our needs and time to enjoy (He permits that.)

Middle ground in all these points become shaky ground with God. We're in all the way or we aren't. We should choose God and all the way with Him.

I know this is easier said than done,
brother.

God bless you and your wife.

bobinfaith I fully grasp that first sentence, but what is 'our part' as He goes ahead of us in all things?

Hello crossnote;

Good question, brother. Many times we just pray, put our requests on a shelf and wait for His answer. Our part, meaning, when God goes ahead of us in all things, we must prepare (do our part) as He answers.

God bless
you, crossnote.

Ask yourself if you are doing things out of fear, or knowledge. If wisdom tells you to prepare, then prepare. If it is just a reaction to fear, then pray about it. The peace of mind prepping brings may be worth it.

The peace that comes through prepping for eternity is definitely worth it...

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Kinda.

My thinking is that if the banks go under.......We ALL will be in the same boat, going up the river without a paddle.

If your wife had been placing your money in old coffee cans and then burring them in the back yard like mine does, then she would have nothing to worry about, except where she burried the can.

Watch out about burying money. In the last several years, the treasury has been updating currency, making some notes obsolete with a limited time being allowed to exchange old banknotes. The best thing to do is to put gold and silver coins in the coffee cans.

Hello BibleLover;

Is it true that over the test of time, gold and silver, more so gold, has always been a great investment and doesn't devalue? Why have I been told not to put all my marbles (gold) in one basket? Why not put all my gold in one basket?

God bless you, brother.

Gold is one thing that has held its value since ancient times.

Are you trying to tell me that the money we buried with Jefferson Davis on it is not good now?????

Is that what you are saying?

This seems appropriate...

Hebrews 11:13–14: These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
