I plan to use it as a surface to either do puzzles on or tell stories - put the felt up on the bulletinboard. Instead of using pins, use felt cut outs and velcro. Felt can be easily manipulated so I heard, rather than have staples and pins to put paper posters and cut outs on.
Magnetic boards also work but you have to have a LOT of magnets.
When I left one library was given a lovely quilt but I currently have nowhere to hang it, I have used it as a table cloth for displays.
Fabric shops are few and far between these days - now that almost everything is made in China or cheaper countries people aren't making their own clothes anymore.
There is one emporium near me that sells a lot of crafting supplies still going so I might go there. My mum was a seamstress and we used to go into fabric shop a lot when there was one in the mall, and I liked seeing all the bolts of cloth and feeling all the textures of different textiles/materials and learning all their names. But now there are none. :-(
Spotlight isn't the same as it sells all other things as well as fabric and its very expensive now.
