And yet 52% of California voters, the majority of which are said to be Democrat, cast their vote in favor of traditional marriage. And against gay marriage, when they voted YES on proposition 8.

It took the USSC to repeal the voters voice in California.

Guys you seem to focus a lot of the little stuff. Do you really see Christ sticking it to the gays and forcing them to use non-applicable terms? Rather Jesus tells us, if someone sues you in court and takes your shirt, give your coat also.

National politics are hardly a major concern in the Bible and in fact it says give to Caesar shat is Caesar's and to God what is God's. And as a corollary I would advise to let Caesar do what Caesar does and let God do what God does. Keep yourselves in check and don't worry about everyone else.

Jesus doesn't tell us to do that in court.

Scripture tells us to be obedient to those who are in authority over us, our leaders. Because it is God's will that they be placed in their position of authority over us.
And we are to obey them because God ordained it so. Unless or until, those leaders diverge from the word and will of God. And then we are not obligated to be obedient anymore because those leaders are betraying the author of their authority first.

Well then, you'd be an easy mark in a lawsuit.
I don't think I've ever met a Christian that doesn't lock their car, nor cares for their family security enough to lock their house.

What's the PIN number to your debit card? :)

Besides all that, none of what you're proposing via Matthew has any relation to the gay marriage issue. Not one thing.

Well, for one it is telling us to not get worked up about political issues as these are divisive to our brothers in Christ.

Second, there comes a question about whether or not a Christian is called to be a push-over, and if you want to read that passage literally, then yes, you are suppose to be a pushover. However, I, being not a litteralist, take it to mean to be nice even to those people who wrong you, and to go "the extra mile" for people.

40 years ago they opposed race mixing.
Are you sure this is the way you want to look 40 years from now?

If we are not to be concerned about our political system, then why are we told to pray for them? Prayer is not only for asking God to give Wisdom to those in authority, but also to pray for their removal if they are ungodly.

Mat 7:13
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wideisthe gate, and broadisthe way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14
Because straitisthe gate, and narrowisthe way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neithercana corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

If you cant see the difference, then you are big trouble. It sounds like you equate this sick perversion to being a minority race? You should be ashamed to relate this righteous cause to this perverted and twisted agenda of lust and depravity.

Do you think that is the reason Jesus used a whip on the money changers, ran off their cattle and overturned their tables?

Push over???? Do you think the man who came to Joshua the night before the battle of Jericho was a push over?
Is that what He had His sword drawn and was ready to do battle?
You do know that man was the pre-incarnate Lord Jesus Christ.......right?

It does seem that a large number of people have that thinking.

Instead of a "re-formation" of the church, do you think that maybe we are seeing a "purging" takeing place?????

I can not help but think of the Word of Jesus when He said......"Depart from me, ye who work iniquity, I never knew you"!

As one who promotes the true grace and mercy of God, we should always act to defend the true holiness that grace brings. I see this all working together to attack the true gospel and the legalist will use these people to promote more legalism. satan has been at this for many years now, and its not just about the promotion of sin, its about using this attack by these wicked people to come against the gospel. The gospel is what satan fears and he works against it in many ways.

There is nothing Christian about giving approval to homosexuality. There is nothing moral about giving approval to homosexuality. Homosexuality has not part in a healthy society, and leads to suffering. Though you know God's righteous decree about homosexual behavior, you give approval to those who practice them. Then you lie to us and pretend that you don't give a approval, but that we shouldn't object because it's "little stuff" and "Caesar's".

And where is the Christian love in this judgment? Of course there is something moral about giving approval to letting people love who they fall in love with. If they are consenting adults there is nothing to judge. If you want to get specific and say that a specific person is doing something unhealthy because he is promiscuous, or adulterous, then I'm not going to argue with you, but couldn't a straight person also be promiscuous and adulterous? What sin is a completely monogamous, committed homosexual committing? And why be hypocritical and let the sinful sexual practices of straight people go right by, but condemn and judge when it's homosexual couple?

So they promote that these people be held in bondage to this sinful and destructive lifestyle, and then call that love? Its like watching
a child eat sweet poison and because they like the taste, we say that it is good not to tell them the truth.
