Car .... Air Conditioning Benzene in Automobiles

Summer is here - Read this now!

Don’t turn on your air conditioning when you first get into your car.
Open the windows as soon as you get in then after about 3 minutes, it will be safe to turn on the air conditioning.
Here's why: According to research, your car’s dashboard and even your air freshener emit Benzene.
Benzene just in case you don’t know is a potent cancer causing toxin.
In addition to causing cancer, Benzene poisons your bones, causes anemia and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure may cause Leukemia and may also cause miscarriage.
Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft.
A car with windows closed and parked in the sun at temperatures above 60 degrees F can easily contain 2,000 to 4,000 mg of Benzene per sq. ft.
That’s a whopping 40 times the acceptable level. That’s not a good thing!
When you get into your car on a hot day and you keep your windows closed, you’ll be breathing in that poisonous Benzene by the car load – no pun intended.
Benzene is also a toxin that affects your kidney and liver. What's worse, it’s extremely difficult for your body to get rid of this toxin. So it may build up over time.
So please! Open the windows of your car when you get in. Give your car time to air out and get rid of that deadly Benzene. You’ll be doing yourself, your family and friends a huge favor.
