Child of God

child of God

He went into an abandoned boggy field
Where no one else wanted to go
Stripped away the ground
Where only weeds and nettles grow
Dug down through the dross and stones and tangled roots
Found what He was looking for
Pull it out, Took it home…
With The skill only the Master has worked it hard
formed it into the child of God He could see in that hunk of clay…
He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,
To be the man you see
before you today
