Some people have the gift of saying a lot with very few words. Whoever was quoted as having made that statement
is to be admired. I say that because, in my humble opinion, the fewer the words - the greater the impact.

We experienced the bonding of our church family a couple of Saturdays ago. We went to a nice picnic area called Japanese Tea Garden in San Mateo, CA, and celebrated April birthdays. From where I was standing and watching, everyone was having a great time, food, birthday cake and great weather. It made gathering the next day at worship service wonderful.

My (unprofessional) observation is that, in a crisis, we do draw closer to each other
and are more willing to give of our own resources (money, time, prayer, etc.)
In doing so, we are living out Proverbs 28:27:
"If you give to the poor, your needs will be supplied! But a curse upon those who close their eyes to poverty."
It's a "win - win". Those with resources are blessed by their generosity;
those in need are provided for.
