Comfort one another

Hello there,

I am watching the news, yet again, and learning of yet more turbulence in world affairs, and feel the need to say something here, to those of us who believe God, and trust in Him to keep His promise to us, of life in Christ Jesus.

'Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for,
my joy and crown,
so stand fast in the Lord,
my dearly beloved.... ...

Rejoice in the Lord alway:
and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned,
and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:
and the God of peace shall be with you.'

(Php 4:1, 4 - 9)

These words were written to believers who lived in times of persecution, in danger for their very lives. Yet Paul tells them to rejoice in all things. We have a hope which transcends the present, or the events of our day. We have a hope which is sure and certain, which is secure in Christ, our risen Lord. Let us keep our minds stayed on Him, and be strong in faith, nothing doubting, that His Name be praised.

Praise His Holy Name!

In Christ Jesus
Chris
