Composition of the Blood

Major bobinfaith @anyone who has biblical education and is able to TEACH.

Could we ( not me because I'm going to LISTEN very carefully ) have a discussion about the STATE of CHRIST's being when He walked the earth?

It was brought to my attention and it has caused me some trouble in my heart... that a dear teacher of the word who appears daily on my Christian radio... was accused many years ago of being a heretic due to stating that the BLOOD of CHRIST while He was on earth was human.

If you were to ask me this question.... I would without hesitation state... that the blood of Christ was human.... but that is without any knowledge on the matter. It simply makes sense to me to believe that Jesus as man had human blood. Is this the basis of heresy?

This is really bothering me and I would love to see this matter cleared up by those men in these forums that I deeply trust.

I did not see this as a topic that is forbidden in the forums.... so if it is.... you have my permission to remove it completely.

I am NOT asking this as a means to cause strife. I am asking this as a means to clear my own understanding of this matter.

Am I wrong in believing that JESUS had human blood? He was fully human.

Since God is spirit, then the spirit that Jesus has is God. Since Jesus had a human body and was atoning for human sins it makes sense that his blood was human. The wages of sin is death and since we humans are the ones that sinned it stands to reason that human death is required and human blood that is used for the remission of those sins. Jesus was fully human and fully God.

That makes absolute and total sense to me. THANK YOU.

Edit Dave F. To be clear and what I am interested in hearing from the men of this forum is the assurance that stating Jesus had human blood is NOT heretical .... CORRECT??? Just clarifying what you have stated.

With the recognition and admission that He was both fully God and fully man.

No one is more Biblically correct than my friend Dave F. and he is correct in every way.

In every way, Jesus was both God and Human. He was the God man.

Now...hold on! One of the lesser-known biblical doctrines concerns whether Jesus is a man right now. Many do not know that presently, in heaven, Jesus is a man though in a glorified body.

There is no place in the Bible where it states that Jesus stopped being a man. If anything, the New Testament says He is still a man.
Colossians 2:9
“For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form”.
(Notice that in the Original Greek, "DWELLS" speaks in the present tense).

Major THANK you so much for this. Between you and Dave F. ... I am satisfied!!!!

I believe I can with great confidence continue to listen to this man's teachings as he made it clear that he understood that Jesus was both man and GOD. I am satisfied that the charges brought against him are FALSE.

People need to be VERY CAREFUL with the words they speak. I don't imagine GOD is impressed with those who FALSELY accuse His teachers... WOW. Don't want to be in those shoes.

Thank you for these answers.... they were what I already believed but needed to hear.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shortest debate/question EVER!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That blesses both Dave F and myself.
My first Pastor wrote this concerning the blood of Jesus. It comes from his book, `One Lord, one Faith,` by W.A.C. Rowe. (ch. 12. The Precious Blood of Christ.)
Think how precious was the blood of the martyrs who had been slain for the Word of God and their testimony and whose souls were under the altar. (Revelation 6: 9)
Infinitely more precious is the Blood of Christ. If the Blood of Christ was only sinless Blood it would be unique, because it would be the first and only time since the Fall of man that such had ever been in the world (Romans 3: 23); that would have made it intrinsically precious beyond degree.
But it was more than sinless Blood, it was holy Blood; for Christ`s life was a holy life in peerless and matchless degree (Hebrews 7: 26). Before the Fall, the blood of Adam was sinless and innocent blood; but there is no suggestion that he attained unto a state of holiness and that, therefore, his blood was holy. The Blood of Christ was the first holy Blood; that multiplies the intrinsic value.
Then to crown it all, in some unparalleled, inexplicable way it was divine Blood; it is therefore described as the blood of God. (Acts 20: 28) Therefore, the Blood of Christ that was shed on the cross of Calvary for the salvation of mankind, sinless, holy and divine.
The intrinsic value of the Blood of Christ was infinitely above that blood of a righteous or a good man or that of a martyr; it was the precious Blood of the divine holy Saviour of the world. The shedding of the Blood, the pouring out of that life was an act once for all - never could be repeated (Hebrews 9: 26).
The revelation of the Word of God is that the intrinsic worth of any blood is of utmost value. The intrinsic value of the precious Blood of Christ is above all imagination, assessment and degree.
