Do Animals Have a Soul and Are They Resurrected?

Good morning, Marilyn;

Thank you for sharing in all my holy mountain, additionally important in the passage.

God bless you, sister.

Bob
Good morning to you too, Bob,

So glad you see that part of scripture too. Many people have been wrongly told that the millennium is a time of perfection. This is not so and after the great earthquake (Rev. 16: 18) then civilization as we know it will be no more. People will have to work the land (Micah 4: 3).

In Isa. 35: 9 it talks of the Highway of holiness, (going up to mount Zion to worship) and that there will be no lion or ravenous beast there. So these wild animals will still roam the earth and be a danger to people.

But praise the Lord He has His hand of mercy out to those who turn to Him, in any season on the earth.

And thank you Bob for your interaction. It still amazes me how we can talk to others across the world.

May God continue to encourage and teach other through you.

Marilyn.

Hi Bob,

I don`t believe animals will be in heaven for they will not have the divine nature nor were made for that environment. However, I do believe they will be on the new earth because they were there when all was good. They were part of God`s original plan for the earth.

When there are a new heavens and new earth all will be the same as God intended, except the rulership in each realm under Christ.
I’d agree the animals were never meant for the heavens only the ones mentioned that protect the throne room of God . And nor were humans ment for the heavens . Animals and humans were ment for the earth and that’s where we shall all dwell in the future resurrection upon a new heavens and a new earth. Paradise lost shall be fully restored.. that be our Natural estate and our natural domain .

Oh boy! When Marilyn and Prim90 agree, I listen! lol!

Here's my question for the both of you. There seems to be an exception to the subject Do Animals Have a Soul and Are They Resurrected? We all agree no. But you both believe animals will be in the new earth. Do you regard the new earth, new heaven - heaven itself?

Please remember to stay within the verb of this topic. We also have to mindful of the forum rules but I'll give a little wiggle room so keep it simple with Scriptures. (This can be confusing to the new or seasoned disciple.)

God bless
everyone.

Bob

Hi Prim,

Glad we can agree on some things. As to the `living creatures`around the throne, I believe they are Christ`s living ministries -

like a lion - Christ`s majesty, Kingship.
like an ox - Christ`s sacrifice.
like a man - Christ the Mediator.
like an eagle - Christ`s Divinity.

These same symbols we see in the 4 gospels and the 4 visions of Christ in Revelation. God the Father has such delight in presenting His Son to us in all His glory, His names, titles and character. We are so blessed to be able to behold even those.

I thought I`d do this point on a separate comment.

I believe God`s word tells us that we are to be made like unto Christ and then at the rapture given a spiritual body. All this is far greater than what Adam and Eve had. We are made or the realms above with Christ on His own throne. (Rev. 3: 21)

On the earth will be the nations that are saved, (those out of the great trib. Rev. 7: 14)

So Bob,

I`m not sure what you are asking.

1. Are the new heavens and earth all heaven.
2. or which part of the heavens are changed.

Hello Marilyn;

Question 1

Thanks!

Bob
Thanks Bob,

So we read in Job - `the heavens are not pure in His sight.` (Job 15: 15) These would be the atmospheric and celestial heavens. Obviously the third heaven with God`s throne and the angels is pure for God is holy. So the two parts of the heavens above need cleansing, being burned with fire as 2 Peter 3: 10 tells us.

Then on the new earth we read of the nations that are saved. These people would be the great multitude out of the great trib. (Rev. 7: 14 Rev. 21: 24) They are NOT the Body of Christ for we are CALLED OUT of the Nations and CALLED OUT of Israel. We are with the Lord in the third heaven on His own throne. (Rev. 3: 21 4: 2 - 4)

Thus I do not regard the new heavens and new earth as just the new heavens, The new earth will be in the new atmospheric heaven which will be in the celestial heavens. God`s throne in the highest heaven is established forever. It is the Holy of Holies, as it were.

I have known many animals, especially dogs and cats, but other species as well, that have shown deep emotions. Gratitude, jealousy, thoughtfulness, they definitely experience pain and joy, anticipation and anxiety... this is obvious to me at least.

Many of the ones I have known seem to have distinct emotions, feelings and personalities. Some have show me a sense that I can only describe as a degree of empathy, and many seem to possess higher levels of emotional intelligence and intuitive sensitivity than many people I have met. You could well argue I am anthropomorphizing instinctual behavior… but I think not… there is more of something there, even if it is not explained explicitly in scripture. Actually there is a lot that’s not explained to my understanding in scripture. But perhaps that’s just me and my limited capacity to understand the ‘Who, Why and What’ of God’s plan.

And so then, what this all means in Gods eternal plan for our, and their, eventual dispensation I can’t know for sure, I am no theologian, but I do see a divine spark emanating from the Creator in their being and I find it hard to believe it vanishes once their body dies. It must transform otherwise I feel it goes against the laws of material and Spiritual physics, which I personally believe are God’s laws, and so I think it goes against the law of God’s Creation that animals, who show obvious emotional intelligence, are ment for our use and amusement only.

There must be a place in eternity for those animals that have been both individualized and elevated by their relationships with humans.

Interesting and fun discussion.

Good morning, blueskies;

It's good to see you again, brother, and thank you for sharing. What I blue-lighted helps explain the personalities our beloved pets have.

I haven't given it much thought, but is it true that animals, our pets have sharp senses early to some natural disasters like an earthquake, etc...? Or when their owners cry, feel sad or angry?

I find it reasonable for those who have a strong, bond and love for their pets, would love to see God's eternal place for them.

God bless you, blueskies.

Bob
