The weather was 52 degrees but it was still very refreshing to visit Woodside, CA.

Oooh I love visiting gardens.
I have this book called 1001 gardens to visit before you die...I wonder if this garden is in it?

quote - 'Filoli is the site of a Georgian-style house and is considered to be one of America's finest historical gardens'

I wonder if they meant 'Georgian' as in King George or 'Georgian' as in George Washington.

It looks very formal, all straight edges and finely manicured.

Hey everyone,

Yes, the whole garden is very well manicured and open year round. They do have plenty of garden bench seating and over by the entrance is a cafe.

Lanolin, I'm glad it is mentioned in your 1001 Gardens book.

When it gets warmer, we're going to go back. No doubt there will be much more visitors by then.

When my wife and I next go to San Francisco, I'll plan a side trip to Woodside. My wife loves to visit places like this.
