Forum upgrade DONE

Hi, I will be upgrading the forums to its latest maintenance release soon. This could be some time tomorrow. I want to apologize for not being active here and so I have many emails, messages and posts waiting to be read and actioned. I now have my own new business that I have to take care off and so that has taken a lot of my time. Plus we are going to have a baby in few months. So many changes happening this year. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing good here. God bless. :)

Just as a suggestion. There is another forum I visit and I believe they use the same software as here. I find kind it very convenient when I have multiple forums open in my browser to be able to see how many responses there are on a forum without opening it. This other forum shows me how many responses I have in the "tab" on my browser without me opening it. That is way cool.

First of all Jeffin Congradulations and may your newest member soon to arive be more blessing then you could ask the Father for.

I also wanted to speak this.................
I am not sure about how the soft ware is set up over at TJ BUT, Even when Chad slowed down the moving adds and such it still chewed up more data most of the time in a few threads then here all night long. It hangs up a lot with mobile devices and android and has issues with several browsers as well. This is not just my experience but have talked with others who felt the same.

I also was told by several mods how certain browsers have issues with them. Unless it has changed since I stopped going in there several weeks back it is the same.
I just wanted to share this with you Jeffin for I know many members here use mobile devices.

Thank you. I was a member of TalkJesus before CFS began and still is. Chad's a good friends of mine and helped me with CFS at it's beginning stages. Yes, they are using the same software as we are but a different theme. I'll see if we can bring that particular function into this forum as well. No guarantees though. :)

Yes, there will be some downtime, not much. I'm going to begin the upgrade now because the traffic to the site is least at this time. I'll post an update when its all over.

OK sounds good.
I think you are still upgrading looking at my screen, some branding issues.
 
I have reinstalled the theme files and I am going to redo all the customizations we have had here before. They will be done in the next few days. In the meantime, I am consulting with the theme developer as to the proper way of making these customisations (like creating a permanent child theme with the custom codes) so I don't have to redo them every time the forum is upgraded. At this time, a few things may be missing including the logo. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. I'll let you know when it is all done. Thanks.

Switched to the water back ground and it is better. I do like the water scene in the message board on the home page. ; ) I guess bottom line is what ever you pick we shall get used to it.

I like the new feature where you can edit the images on the background and foreground.
