Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:1-2

Freedom consists not in doing what we like,
but in having the right to do what we ought.
Pope John Paul II

What was it about Romans 7 that made Paul exult that there was no condemnation in Christ?
I believe you are referring to my post which was Romans 8:1-2. And verse 2 explains it:"...because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

yes, but the meaning comes from the dilemma of Rom 7. There was a dilemma and then there was relief. Individual Bible verses are in great streams of development. They are not 'stand-alone' lines.

If I were doing a bible study then, yes, I would include Romans 7. But perhaps these shorter posts will encourage other like you to examine verses in context.
