As for RCC converts to Islam, their conversions serve only to prove they were never numbered among God's Elect saints. Matthew 24:24 points out that it’s not possible to deceive God's Elect.
Islam was founded by a poor deceived man who had an encounter with a demon who tried to impersonate one of God's angels. The fruits of Islam such as viscious hatred of Jews and the propensity toward violent murders of the innocent serve to prove the satanic origin of the Islamic religion.

We could go another step, and point out that the pagan roots of many RCC doctrines keeps that system of religion from drawing all of its converts to the true Christ Jesus. Of course, no denomination has a fail-safe, 100% success rate in that endeavor. No churchianity organization can lay claim to 100% success rate. You are absolutely correct, in that no power can snatch from the Hands of the Lord those who are truly His.
