Galatians 3:28 NKJV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

This verse has nothing to do with Women's lib, Liberation theology or Supersessionism but rather our rich access to the Throne of Grace through Christ Jesus.

Totally correct!

Let's dig a little deeper. It's nice to have confidence but let's really understand what the scripture say about supersessionism. It's not about Zionism or anti Zionism. But, we can't just make the scriptures say or not say whatever we want.

Matthew 21:33-44

Matthew 8:10 -13
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour

Jesus is with centurion. And He's is amazed by his great faith. Look closely at the "the sons of the kingdom" in v.12, is He not speaking of the Jews? The sons of Abraham?

Roman's 2:26-29
26 Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? 27 And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your [f]written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law? 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose [g]praise is not from men but from God.

A true seed of Abraham is one who accepts the seed of Abraham (Christ) ; one who is circumcised spiritually.

Galatians 4:21-31
Two Covenants
21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, 24 which things are symbolic. For these are [g]the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar— 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children— 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written:

“Rejoice, O barren,
You who do not bear!
Break forth and shout,
You who are not in labor!
For the desolate has many more children
Than she who has a husband.”

28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. 29 But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. 30 Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

Good morning, cocoa;

I'm in accord with your sharing Scriptures but I don't see how Ephesians 3:28 aligns with your comment.

My confidence is always in God's Word since my own confidence of interpretation would be way off. Jesus was merely breaking the dividing line between Jew and Greek. Supersessionism would not even enter my understanding of this passage.

Please clarify?

God bless you, cocoa, and thank you for sharing.

Bob

I'm not sure how I can further clarify. If it's not your belief, I can respect that but I'm not sure how the scriptures could be anymore clear.

Hope this helps.

Hello cocoa;

Belief is not the point but my search for clarity. This will always be a part of my study and when discussing with others. That's on me.

Galatians 3:28,
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - ESV

Jesus is teaching equal standing between Jew and Greek who follow Christ in faith, therefore to break down divide. This is my understanding of the context in Galatians 3.

I feel we arrive at the verb of understanding in one accord.

Ah, yes we do have understanding. I see. I think maybe I was being over zealous with my first reply.
Thank you for being patient.

This Scripture tells us that when we are saved, we are all equal in Christ. No matter our race, status, or sex, we all stand on the same footing in Christ.

With God there is no bias or favoritism. Saying that there is “neither male nor female” does not mean that there are no differences between the two sexes or that there are not different roles. The distinctions between men and women remain, but once we are saved, our individual differences are not what define us. Our unity in Christ removes all favoritism and bias in the church. In the matter of salvation, the playing field has been leveled, and we are all on equal footing.
