Here, Have Some Kool-Aid

Hello Nazarene Servant;

Good points and discussion so far. Please elaborate more what you are saying in your opening thread.

God bless you, brother and your family.
Thank you, Bob. Yes, I was just alluding to the fact that we must adhere to
the truth of context and reality of God's Word. It is not a mystical book
that must be deciphered by creating mystery. It says what it says and means
what it says. We just have to read what it says. There are parables, love stories,
murders, incest, metaphors, prophecy, etc. But one element does not sustain
life and one element does not sustain God's Word. If we were architects and
we do not read the blue prints correctly then we are either ignorant, not
actually an architect, or not building correctly. One way or the other we made the
mistake and need to reassess what we really are.

Amen, Sam! I share in my fellowship that context (digging in to what the Scripture is saying) is so important when reading God's Word. The areas that you pointed out, no matter what we go through in life, can be found in the Bible.

God bless
you and your family.

Amen brother! You have just stated the correct way to grasp the Word of God!
