I wouldnt say nothing can happen to us, as bad things happen to Christians every day. We will go through bad times but its good to stay strong, keep believing and trusting in God.

The quote does not imply that nothing bad can happen to us,
but it does say that if it happens, God has allowed it for His own purpose(s).
Perhaps at the moment, we are not aware of His reason, but we will most likely know at a time of His choosing.
