Myself still struggle with temptations and my flesh, been delivered from a lot by living the spirit still not perfect never will nor expect others to ever be perfect either.

The entire book of 1 John teaches us we can know that the Holy Spirit is working in us. In trying the spirits, I always think of the Holy Spirit within me. There are a number of important tests that John shares.

Knowing in one's heart that God is working in your life, brings great peace and clarity. When their is doubt it gets in the way of that peace or rest that we have in the Lord. Rest is not sitting back, but the comfort felt and the sense of being settled. From here I know that I can grow in acting in love and faith because I know that God is with me.
