It is sometimes understood that when praying the prayer closes with the dedicational phrase 'in Jesus name amen'. But it is not so much a dedication but to be 'In His Name Praying' as when He is in us and we are in Him all things we do He should be doing them through us. It is our nature to do things in our name, no matter how good it is the motive and objective is wrong. The battle is to die out to self and He accomplishes this by letting us realize that we fall short by the constant failures we experience. The failures are not of a destructive nature but of a constructive means. They may feel bad but scripture tell us to rejoice in our trials and troubles for all things work to our good. So let us put down our enemy the devil when he tries to feed us with thoughts of depression and defeat and praise the Almighty for the good work He is doing in us.

Good morning, 2404;
One of the things I think about regarding everyone here at CFS. We are friends, brothers and sisters in Christ "online." Back in the 1990s most of us would not meet on the computer as most forums were "in person."
When I end my prayers for Christian Forum Site with "in Jesus name amen" is acknowledging my request to God through Jesus Christ. Sure, we have our seasons of good fellowship as well as the stormy ones. I truly believe my prayer is being answered, God always covers us and since 2006 we're still standing.
2404, the year that you joined was the same month and year that I retired from my secular job and went into full time ministry. I had worked 43 years and it was weird going from serving an employer to serving God. I felt nervous but took a step in faith and ended my prayer with in Jesus name, amen.
I hear on an average, 20 sirens a day in our community of Daly City, CA (110k people.) I immediately lift up a prayer for the officers that are tending to the victims whether their health, home or vehicle, in Jesus name, amen.
I end all my prayers in Jesus name.
