An intense frontal area is moving out of Texas and into the deep south today and tonight. Softball sized hail has been reported in Texas and Oklahoma as well as numerous severe thunderstorms and some tornado warnings. This area will extend into Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Tenenssee, Kentucky, Georgia and the Carolinas over the next 12 to 48 hours. Persons in these states are being asked to monitor local weather updates as this series of severe storms enters your areas.

Persons in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania can expect occasional heavy rains, flood warnings and then snow from the back side of the frontal zone. Use the link below to monitor local watches and warnings.
