Inspiration for Week of November 4 to 10, 2018

Good Day, Friends... and exactly what is a friend? The dictionary lists this as the primary definition: "A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts; an acquaintance. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade."

These are all true, but a friend is also someone who will go the extra mile for you to make sure that everything is OK. A friend will be there with you when things are not going well. A friend is a comfort when you are down and has the ability to cheer you up.

Isn't it reassuring that God is our friend? He is there for us, helps us, is happy with us, is sad with us and just talking with Him, in prayer, shows us that He cares deeply and gives us His Blessings. May God Bless.

Thank you, Pastor Gary, it is good to read this today. One can move away or a friend can move away. As we get older many depart for their heavenly home. God is our friend and never leaves or forsakes us. The older I get the more I know this, but also so value the friends I have. And, of course, as friends to others we are there for them to help them, to listen, to care, to do...all as Jesus commanded when He told us to love one another as He loves us.
