Inspired by the service at church this morning

Father know where I sit

I may be-in a darkened room
Hid at the back of the church
Lost in a crowd
When Jesus passes by And says
Was it you that touched the hem of my garment
He knows where I’m at

He knows when I’m
Hid in a clef of a rock
When I’ve ran to the furthest corner
Up to the mountain top
Where ever I may try to flee
Jesus knows where I sit

I may busy my self all day
So I don’t have to think,
Stuck in the past
Avoid eye contact with the minister
So I don’t have that conversation
About my walk with God
Exhausted with life
Battle, world weary
Jesus knows where I lay down my head to sleep

Jesus says come bide a while
Walk with in the cool of the day
I was there when you woke
This morn
In fact I knew you in the womb
I know you better than you know yourself
Jesus, He takes me for real
He knows where my heart is at
He know where I’m sat
And where I’m going to be
For eternity

Hello Alan;

Thank you for sharing Father know where I sit

Back in 1999 I sat during the service with my face down on my lap the whole service. All those verbs and nouns in the poem pointed to me.

I was forgiven and redeemed but the conviction and chastisement that I felt had to complete it's course in the lesson I was learning.

God bless you, Alan, and your family.
