I’m asking because it ends as many Psalms begin…

The Lord God is my strength,
And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet,
And makes me walk on my high places.
For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.
— Habakkuk 3:19

Well, in verse #1 he says that he is a prophet!

His work is directed toward God and he asks what we all ask........"Why do good things happen to bad people"?

It seemed to me as I read the book that it is a record of his prayer life to God written in a poetic manner. Funny thing is that God did not answer him!

Essentially, in the end, he says that even if he loses absolutely everything, yet he will rejoice in God who he trusts to strengthen him in the midst of hard times. In the same way, when faced with circumstances we do not understand, we can be honest with God and then must choose to trust Him with the aspects of his plan that we as humans cannot understand, believing him to be both all-powerful and supremely good.
