And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

What is the significance of the doors being shut in the above passage?.

On first glance, I assume he just appeared from nowhere. like he walked through walls, and I could be right...

Luke 24;31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he |vanished out of their sight.

So will we be able to do all these things in heaven too when we have glorified bodies?

I feel like we are heading to some kind of fantastical dimension with interstellar time travelling on the menu or something much better than what FaceTime can offer 😁

The significance of the doors being shut can be looked as a minor note in the Scriptures, but there is an important message here. With the doors shut and locked with only His disciples, the Lord's mysterious ways was still being revealed in the midst of them. The Lord had risen but the Truth of Christ was still at work.

Jesus is always (the) Way Ahead of Our Time. He was at the cross 2000 years ago and is still impacting our lives today.

I tell you the truth. I don't know exactly what we're going to do when we get to Heaven but I do know this. We will be worshiping and rejoicing with our Father in Heaven continuously less tears, illness and worry amongst other earthly burdens.

Yup! Just like how angels can. The technology we think we have today is nothing compared to what we will be able to do in our glorified bodies, and we won't need machines to do it. :)
 
Yes, consider never to be sick, sad or lonely. Not to be subject to the elements, never to grow old, no looking back no regrets just glory after glory quite unimaginable.
It says that in the millennium we will build and another will not inhabit. I don't believe that it is implying building with sticks and nails no more than the mansion He is preparing for us is a building. We are going back to what Adam forfeited plus. For with God everything has a purpose and our journey/experience in this story of redemption and character building also has a purpose. Consider, Lucifer fell because he lacked character so surely a son/daughter with character is destined for greatness - it would seem.

Hello 2404;

It's been awhile, brother, and well said! After reading your post a thought came to me.

When we suffer on this earth with illnesses (such as cancer, liver and kidney failure) we feel sorry and pray for healing which we are to do. But for those who don't heal, could it be this is God's mysterious way of preparing those who are saved to soon be with Him?

I'm a barefoot type person so I'm looking forward to walking around barefoot in heaven without worry about danger or germs. 😁
