Creation is set on God's established laws both naturally and spiritually.
Lucifer being a great being knew and understood these laws for by them he desired to exalt his throne above the stars of God. Isaiah 14:13
We esteem self confidence to be a vital component for success and it certainly works for worldly accomplishments but self confidence is only a free loader on a established laws for scripture tell us that all things are possible if we only believe. We understand this to mean not to place our confidence on ourselves but instead on the maker of laws. If we can do this then 2 Cor. 12:10 comes alive for taking pleasure in infirmities, reproach and persecution are not the building blocks for self esteem.
Let's replace self confidence with God confidence or Faith...

This thread is good food for thought. Two things stood out with me. Self esteem and self confidence in God are empowered by Him for all who ask, it will be given.

It's senseless when we don't have the optimism in preparing for His answer.

Matthew 7:7-8, 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. - KJV
