Left at the door

Poem#8 Left At The Door

At every door of conversation will see a pair of shoes

Could be out of habit or the way we’re raised in thinking

Leaving what others called dirty behind

Offensive words ensue coming from misunderstanding

Despite good intentions, brings up insecurity defenses

It’s what happens when we walk in with stinky feet

Truth may walk into every conversation with good intentions

Unfortunately with the smell of judgment turns the nose away

Making those in need of conviction turn away, missing key words

It happens when we leave Love at the door instead of bringing

Because we just don’t understand what Love does when He enters

With the sweet smelling Grace that leaves the stink behind

No question every conversation will have dirt hidden in the soles

As Everyone needs the cleaning of Amazing Grace that Love uses

Even though Love Judges with Truth it’s heard with Humility

Forgive us Oh Lord when we forget to bring Love when delivering

Your Truth.
