Loss of Faith

This and other scriptures cause me to realize the need to understand what it is to have faith, how to act in faith and grow in that faith. God is the source of this wonderful gift. God and I have had many conversations on this topic and often I go to his word to hear him speak on it.

I pray that Christ might come to find much faith in the world.

Trying to live out our faith on a daily basis is no "walk in the park". We must be diligent and purposeful in all that we do,
say, think, and feel. But calling on our heavenly Father to lead and guide us is, to me, the key.

when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Luke 18:8 (ESV)

When faith is lost, when honor dies,
The man is dead!
John Greenleaf Whittier

Hello Bob;

You know, I always have my faith in question daily. But instead of dwelling on my own measure of faith, I trust that God sees my heart, if only a mustard seed.

And who says, Jesus won't grow us, if only we ask?

God provides many ways for us to evaluate and grow our faith.

One way is to live for Him, even when we are not 'Feeling it'.

Another way is when He answers prayer in ways we never expected -- Do we grouse about it, or do we learn from it to see His answers?.

I will share with you what Jesus said:
"Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to this tree and even more. You will be able to say to this mountain, ’Go, fall into the sea.’ And if you have faith, it will happen.
If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer."
Matthew 21:21-22 (NCV)
While I find it hard to believe that "anything" is the proper word to use, I have to trust that our requests would be in alignment with Jesus' statement.
