Complete/Actioned Mark Chapter 7 (Lesson - Teaching) 14-30

Hello you and welcome, these scriptures are pertaining to Mark Chapter 7. You will see verses 17-23

14 Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “All of you listen,” he said, “and try to understand. 15 It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.

Verses (14-15) He is calling all the people that are following and trying to listen to him to understand. Saying it is not what goes in to your body that defiles you but what comes from your heart that defile you.

17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. 18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, [g]thus purifying all foods?”
Verses (17-19)
After Jesus Christ finishes explaining to the Pharisees about their hypocrite status of proclaiming to Love God, yet being indignant of others, he goes on to explain further about what defiles a man which is not eating with washed hands, or eating certain foods.
For foods go into your stomach then it goes into the sewer.

20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Verses (20-23) Jesus Christ goes on to explain that what comes out of the hearts of man is what defiles him. From out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, in which all of these things defile a person.
So you can see that these thoughts were surely in the Pharisees, though all humans have made mistakes and not everyone is free of not at least being guilty of these thoughts that come from the heart.
It is the reason Jesus Christ was sent, that we can have a renewed heart, and renewed mind.
24 From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre [h]and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden. 25 For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet.

Verses (24-25) Jesus Christ left that region and went on Type and Sidon. He entered a house and desired for no one to know, however Jesus Christ could not be hidden. There was a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit and heard about the Lord and came and fell as his feet.

26 The woman was a [i]Greek, a [j]Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept [k]asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”

Verses (26-27) Now Jesus Christ being of the Jews and coming for the nation of Israel does something that is very profound here which is speaking to a woman whose daughter has an unclean spirit. The woman is Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, kept asking him (persisting) to case the demon out of her daughter.
Jesus Christ said something very offensive to her (now this is the Lord we are not Him). Jesus Christ said to her; Let the children first be filled - talking about the lost sheep of Israel - for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.

28 And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.”
29 Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.”
30 And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.

Verses (28-30) Despite what Jesus Christ had said, the woman responded back saying yes Lord, but even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs. Saying please Lord even we (the Greek - Gentiles) need help, please help my daughter. Because of this woman and what she had said, He said in the NLT - Good answer!, now go home for the demon has left your daughter. She went to her house and because of her faith in trusting the Lord, she had found her daughter lying in the bed, and the demon was gone out of her.
