More Study Questions :)

Here are a few questions I'd appreciate some insight on. Thanks everyone!
(Ps. If any questions were repeated, I didn't get a clear answer from before or might like to hear more. Thanks!)

#1: Explain situating of Naphtali's placement in reference to Deuteronomy 33:23?
#2: Where were the firstfruits offered? Only at the Temple or in towns too? (Deuteronomy 26:1-10, Leviticus 23:9-14.)
#3: Where are the (faithful) deceased Israelites now (spiritually)?
#4: Thoughts on translations- Vulgate vs. Masoretic, & origins?
#5: Because the honey Samson ate from the lion's carcass considered an unclean food, what were the repercussions if his actions? Why did the Lord remain with him?
#6: Ruth was a Moabite, who were not allowed to enter the congregation even till the tenth generation. Did this not include proselytes? Deuteronomy 23.
#7: Thoughts on Nephilim? (Gensis 6:1-4) Giant Caananite ancestors?
#8: Is 1 Samuel 2:35 speaking of priests or Jesus?
#9: Is the 'boiling' spoken of in

#1: Explain situating of Naphtali's placement in reference to Deuteronomy 33:23?
one of the 12 sons who made up the 12 tribes .. his name means "to contend or to wrestle" ..
(the 5th son of Jacob .. and the 2nd by Bilhah the handmaid of Rachel)

#2: Where were the firstfruits offered? Only at the Temple or in towns too?
the "Tent of Meeting" (portable Temple) .. the tribes all stayed together until they got to the promised land, where they then divided it up between the 12 tribes ..

(Deuteronomy 26:1-10, Leviticus 23:9-14.)
#3: Where are the (faithful) deceased Israelites now (spiritually)?
according to the OT, Sheol .. however Rabbi's had/have dissenting views .. according to the NT Jesus preached the Gospel to those in prison (sheol) and they are now in either the Bosom of Abraham or Hades ..

#4: Thoughts on translations- Vulgate vs. Masoretic, & origins?
Vulgate was made using mainly the Septuagint (270 bc) and the Masoretic Texts was made about 860 ad .. I like the Septuagint for many reasons ..

#5: Because the honey Samson ate from the lion's carcass considered an unclean food, what were the repercussions if his actions? Why did the Lord remain with him?
Samson was a Nazarite (not Nazarene) which is a dedication to God .. hence his long hair ..

#6: Ruth was a Moabite, who were not allowed to enter the congregation even till the
tenth generation. Did this not include proselytes? Deuteronomy 23.
the term "descendent comes from the father, not mother .. thus did not apply to Obed ..

#7: Thoughts on Nephilim? (Gensis 6:1-4) Giant Caananite ancestors?
the origin is pre-deluge, and the original area seems to be Assyria ..
the eldest in that area is named as Zoar .. however, Philistines were Canaanites (Canaan being Israels former name via its patriarch) ..

#8: Is 1 Samuel 2:35 speaking of priests or Jesus?
Jesus ..

#9: Is the 'boiling' spoken of in
1 Samuel 2 against or not in line with God's law? I thought He already told them what part they would receive.
the priest prepared the sacrifice and took the best part and ate it (roasted) .. and the one making the sacrifice (korban) would take the boiled part home, finish cooking it and eat it with their family .. this was God's law ..

#10: What of (Numbers 21:14) Book of Wars & (Joshua 10:13) the Book of Jasher?
both of them are lost books .. but notice they existed before the Torah ..

#11: (Joshua 10) Were there two kings if Hebron, then?

#12: (Genesis 49:10) Why do some translations say Shiloh?
because that is what is written ..
שִׁילֹה - transliterated - Shiyloh- untranslated in English - Shiloh ..

it is a reference that Jesus will rule, until "the Great rest" or "tranquility" comes .. aka "all is completed" .. meaning after Jesus Millennium Rule ..

#13: (1 Samuel 2:30) Was the Levite promise conditional?
no .. the verse is saying the tribe of Levi is guaranteed ..
it does not mean every Levite on a individual basis ..

The evil one must wait for revelation before acting. Gen 3 revealed that the seed of the woman would crush his head thus he had his fallen ones enter humanity to corrupt the seed of Eve. This is what brought on the flood judgment.

huh ???
the seed of the woman (Israel) is Jesus ..
you will find a continuation of this prophecy here .. Rev 12:1-6
note: the 12 stars on the head of "the woman (Israel) are her 12 tribes .. as you see, "her "seed" is Jesus ..

this was a prophecy by God of the coming redemption because of what satan did .. in other words, God was telling satan he did not win, but will lose ..

the woman's (Israel) seed (Jesus) is bruised on the heel (crucified) ..
satan's seed is the antiChrist ..
the antiChrist is the last "head" to appear ..
in which the woman's (Israel's) seed (Jesus) crushes the head (destroys the antiChrist) ..

true, but it seems one of Noah's sons wife carried the gene, because they flourished again after the flood ..
so they didn't lie, nor did King David who killed Goliath ..

these are all post-Deluge references ..
Deu 3:11 For only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bedstead was an iron bedstead; it is in Rabbah of the sons of Ammon. Its length was nine cubits and its width four cubits by ordinary cubit.)

1Sa 17:4 Then a champion came out from the armies of the Philistines named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

2Sa 21:16 Then Ishbi-benob, who was among the descendants of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred shekels of bronze in weight, was girded with a new sword, and he intended to kill David.

Num 13:22 When they had gone up into the Negev, they came to Hebron where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak were. Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.

Num 13:33 "There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim; and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

Amo 2:9 "Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, Though his height was like the height of cedars And he was strong as the oaks; I even destroyed his fruit above and his root below.

Jos 11:21 Then Joshua came at that time and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab and from all the hill country of Judah and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.

Jos 11:22 There were no Anakim left in the land of the sons of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod some remained.

Jos 15:13 Now he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah, according to the command of the LORD to Joshua, namely, Kiriath-arba, Arba being the father of Anak that is, Hebron.

Jos 15:14 Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak.

Nephil seems to be the first giant (pre-flood)
and all his kind would be Nephilim ..

Arba seems to be the first giant (post-flood)

the same as Anak's descendants would be Anakim ..
the same as Repha's descendents would be Rephaim ..
(im is Hebrew plural denoting the descendents)

note: a new branch is started per progenitor per new location ..

Arba was the father of Anak ..
Anak was the father of Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai ..
Repha was the father of Og ..

others Nephilim ..
Ishbi-benob may have been Goliath's brother ..

All wrong.

Here's what the bible says

Truthful report:

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, "We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it."

10 spies lie:

But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us." So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." (Numbers 13:30-33 NASB)

The result of the lie accepted by the people:

Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in the presence of all the assembly of the congregation of the sons of Israel. Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, of those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; and they spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, "The land which we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the Lord is pleased with us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us-a land which flows with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them." But all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Then the glory of the Lord appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel. Your sons shall be shepherds for forty years in the wilderness, and they will suffer for your unfaithfulness, until your corpses lie in the wilderness. According to the number of days which you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall bear your guilt a year, even forty years, and you will know My opposition. I, the Lord, have spoken, surely this I will do to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be destroyed, and there they will die.'" (Numbers 14:5-10, 33-35 NASB)
