No Pleasure in the Death of the Wicked

Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

We now are hearing all kinds of news from mass media almost lamenting the death of the wicked, Iranian president Abrahim Bikini.

It's a certainty that the moment he entered into Sheol, he knew, and now knows, the truth of his errors and wickedness.

This is not a celebratory nor lament for his passing. Like all others who have ever lived, and do live now, on this earth, ALL who enter death without Christ will come to the knowledge of their ways when they find themselves suffering on the torment side of that chasm in Sheol.

I can see him in my mind's eye, begging, as did the rich man of whom Jesus spoke, that someone be allowed to rise from the dead to warn his Shiite brothers that they are all headed to that side of suffering lest they turn to Christ Jesus. It being too late for Bikini, he will have to await final Judgement.

This is reason for us to pray even more for those lost souls who languish in islamic deceptions. They need Christ just as we all did before turning to Him.

Good morning, Musicmaster;

I agree with you and your thread, No Pleasure in the Death of the Wicked

I learned about the death of Ebrahim Raisi just this morning. One of my anthem verses is Proverbs 24:17-18,

17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, 18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. - ESV

This man had fallen years ago. He was responsible for the mass execution of humans in 1988 and in 2022 killed more who were protesting the death of a young woman who was arrested by Iran's “morality police” accused of wearing her headscarf, or hijab loosely.

He publicly cursed our Christ, God's Israel, the US and it's allies. Instead of rejoicing his death in that helicopter crash (in the mountains of Iran,) Christians should learn that our God holds all accountable who will eventually come before Him. No one is exempt even political leaders.

Today Iran is mourning Raisi's death and praising him as a martyr. But have they overlooked the thousands Raisi ordered killed? Are they also martyrs?

By faith in our true God, there is only one martyr who died at the cross for all.

God bless you, MM, and thank you for this thread.

It looks as though I had misspelled his name in the OP. Sometimes my fingers do their own thinking when it comes to spelling. Muscle memory also has a great deal to do with my typing.

Hmmm...
Musicmaster

lol! I do this all the time at a member's request. Members only have a "time limit" to edit after their post but the staff can go in anytime to edit a typo. It's an easy fix only if you want me to. Otherwise, we can leave it be.

God bless you, MM.
