Wherewithal,
hereunto,
pertinaciously,
with all sacred solemnity,
the investiture whereof,
If the former consideration ministered the occasion we speak of,
proem of the chapter,
an ex ulcerated or much disaffected spirit,
be put to notwithstanding,

Help, I need a translator and an Extra Strength Excedrin
(taken from John Goodwin's "An Exposition of the Ninth Chapter of the Epistle to the Romans")

Crossnote perhaps a good dictionary closer to that era of English would bring you the illumination you so desire. Do inquire within IMG_2382.jpeg

As long as it contained Middle to Olde English definitions :)
I’m sure we could search a little deeper and enquire into old bible dictionary’s of those era’s. Maybe even some illumination from the works of Shakespeare to whomever he be for more enlightenment on the power of the written word . Be it Middle English or the olde English. More richer in diversity of the written word I do think . I do just love the middle and the olde. More flavour and saltier. Does make for more prose and wit along with sweet pearly lips : ) IMG_2383.jpeg

Sorry, I’m a dum-dum when it comes to thumming through someone like Shakespeare, (although my daughter excels in ancient Nordic languages and the like.)

Crossnote when thinking upon the puritan ones they were known for their ferocious appetite of the written word. Be it the Bible, languages history and all manner of literature . It not be the puritans fault that the masses not understand them for they merely be there to teach. They cannot not give nor help Dum Dums or Dummies with brains : ) I do say it is good that Daughter has not inherited the Dumb Dumb syndrome. May she continue on in her Shakespearean biblical and Nordic adventures. For words are powerful and much study be required for words also change their meaning over time. But Crossnote not worry. Some good news for you. Not worry me discover remedy book for Dummy syndrome. More dedication and study might help ❤️ IMG_2407.jpeg

No worry Prim, I have nothing against the Puritans, if only I could understand their high English, (that Owen guy is perhaps the worse) then maybe I would. lol.
