Good Day, Friends; Each year since 2002, our Chapel has published a reminder about the radical terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. It has been 13 years since that terrible day and in addition to the original 2996 persons killed, over 1400 first responders have died since then because of mainly cancers caused by ground zero and Pentagon debris. We hold all of the victims and their families in prayer.
This year, we are departing from offering just a reminder and request for prayer. We also wish to remind our readers that the radical Islamic element is stronger worldwide today than ever in recent history because of failed or passive political policies, over the past 6 years especially, that have allowed these terrorists to thrive, get funding, get reinforcements, get armament and get well organized. The terrorist's mission is to KILL YOU. That is their motivation and their religious reward. There is no dealing with this kind of mindset and unless the governments of countries, including and especially the US, gets serious about eliminating this threat, many more innocent persons will die at the hands of these radical Islamic terrorists. Unless we fight them on their turf, we will be fighting them on OUR turf.
With most intelligence agencies in western countries analyzing threats and increasing their alerts accordingly, we should ALL be vigilant no matter where we are. Since the US 'government' has not adopted a course of action to protect US borders or it's citizens, we are all vulnerable to being swept up in future attacks on US and western soil. We ask that you develop and go over readiness plans with your family and to be ready for any contingency. As a retired law enforcement officer, I do not mention this lightly... especially after what only nineteen radical terrorists did on September 11, 2001. Be safe and may God Bless.
