Poem#105 My Testimony Press’s On

I truly believe my name was spoken in Psalm139:15-16

In the secret place of my Mother’s Womb before 11-28-1979

Then when I was 5 I said yes To Jesus

The circumstances and in between the highs and lows growing up

Undiagnosed Lyme disease, and the physical mysteries, my weakness

The Strength God builds in our Characters beneath the Surface

Took me a long time to get over the shame, the lies told by Satan

As my Faith had famine and droughts through battles in my mind

Through God’s Word in Song became Still enough to Hear His Voice

Through the quietness of my own voice learned to sort through noise

As I watched the busy people around me, as Visions of words formed

Poem after poem came clear behind the sound blocking headphones

With just me and The Holy Spirit the tools used to block out the World

Yes Holy Spirit I hear you, I want to hear you more clearly through song

And I’ve lost count how many Poems He’s spoken

Even as I struggle in my body, and Mind, struggles in the flesh

God the Father in the Son and Holy Spirit is Faithful and is Awesome

Everything Happened I trust Him for His Reasons, and in Him I press On

Through Jesus I have everything needed and through His Word I follow

Through Inspiration of my Father’s Walking testimony, I work on my own

Through the occasional golfing to rest my mind, in Jesus I rest my Soul

This poem about my Testimony has just begun & continues in Jesus

Through His Holy Spirit leading, the Truth revealing in vision writes on

Not my will, but the Father’s Will be done what comes next, I press On

“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”
