Poem#11 The Woes
Matthew 23
Woe to those trying trying to wash the filth with dirty rags
Showing the clean side doesn’t make us better then anyone
Sweeping dirt under the rug doesn’t make the house clean
Everyone is better off coming clean doing what we say
Making Yes ,yes, making no, no, making words our Bond
Let our Words be spoken calm & True to the way of Jesus
Woe to those letting their deeds be known in order to be glorified
Still giving to others for special treatment to those giving the same
Outcasting those that can only give two pennies
Everyone needs to be treated with love as if everyone is our neighbor
Pride gets into everyone’s heart that begs for the do’s to be owed them
When we’re all in the need of a Savior, we owe everything to Jesus Christ
Woe to those in the Church that shut the door to prejudge on looks
Against those not dressing the part of looking Christian by their works
When we’re all hypocrites in need of Grace for Redemption
Everyone needs to reach the point of falling to the knees unashamedly
It’s not a sin to ask Jesus to help with unbelief after saying we believe
Jesus knows we’re Broken, its why He came down from His throne
Woe to those turning new Disciples into false prophets for the Devil
Instead of feeding them Milk of the Lord Jesus you give them sour milk
A child’s Faith isn’t ours to take, it’s the Holy Spirit’s to nurture in Truth
Debating own personal second opinions of interpretation of scripture
Based on selective amnesia singled out verses doesn’t fit any context
Except the quarrelsome pride defending right even when wrong
Woe to those that fail to see we’re walking dead without Jesus Christ
We’re nothing but walking dust that’s being scattered in the Wind
The steps taken without a raised Spirit by Christ is in Vain
The woes come when we’re not Loving God through Loving People
When we’re being too proud to see we’ve done nothing, doing nothing
It’s only when we’re on our Knees looking up at the Cross the vail lifts
