Poem#164 Prayed For You
John 17
While we were sleeping in our Sins Jesus prayed for us
Even while we should have been praying Jesus Prayed
With Blood on His forhead as sweat Jesus prayed for us
Taking time away from being selfless doesn’t mean it’s selfishness
Even Jesus had to take time away from the people He was serving
After going through the Wilderness Angels came to Minister to Him
Pride in our Hearts can lead us to ways of selfishness, but pride also
Keeps us from reaching for help in times of needing our minds renewed
Refusing to forgive ourselves will lead us away from God’s Forgiveness
Request to Jesus the prayers of our Heart make them known out loud
Jesus has seen the pain in our heart that’s keeping us from knowing Him
So let Jesus pray for you over you even as He takes Our Sin to the Cross
Love God with all of our soul & Mind by Loving our neighbor like ourselves
Which means letting go the guilt, shame that’s keeping me from loving Me
It’s perfectly okay to call on Jesus to Minister to our Heart that’s hurting
Jesus formed us in our Wombs writing the days of our Life & He prays
While watching us Grow & mold us into the Characters He design for us
He knows & allows all we go through as we get stuck in our own ways
We’re going to wonder off, we’re going to trip & fall we’re going to sin
That’s why Jesus prays for us while we’re sleeping instead of praying
Jesus knew His Disciples would fall asleep & knew we would too
Even as Jesus prayed “ let not my will be done, but your will be done”
As the sweat of blood appeard on his brow Jesus prayed what we didn’t
Jesus prayed to soften our Heart to plant the seeds of His Gospel
